Nuclear Decommissioning Services Ltd

NDSL is a specialist nuclear company which has been operating primarily in the decommissioning sector of the industry since its inception in 2001.

We have a highly experienced and motivated team which includes Mechanical Engineers, EC&I Engineers, Building Services Engineers, Chemists and UKAEA-approved Safety Case Authors. Within the company we have significant expertise in areas such as remote operations, ventilation design and commissioning, decommissioning processes, radiological survey, alkali metal disposal, safety documentation, waste management and hazardous materials handling.

Through our excellent working relationships with other engineering firms, NDSL's wider capability embraces all engineering disciplines, and encompasses the full project lifecycle: design, build, commission, and operation.

In June 2007 NDSL was awarded a number of Framework Agreements at Dounreay, as a result a team of twelve Decommissioning Operatives and an Operations Manager were recruited and successfully deployed in the Fuel Cycle Area. This team has now been increased to around 30 Operatives as a consequence of successful competitive tenders under the Framework Agreement.
